Conference site
The conference will be held at the Auditorium (Aula Magna) of the University of Salerno, located in Fisciano, 10 km north of Salerno.

Shuttles will be organized from Salerno hotels to the campus and viceversa from Tuesday to Saturday. If you miss your shuttle or if you want to come and go at your time, take bus number 7, 17 (23 on saturday) from the railway station. The bus tickets are sold inside the railway station at newsstand or outside the station.

There will be two shuttles. The name of the bus company is "Buonotourist". Each bus will have the identifying sign of the Microlensing Conference. The pick up/drop off point of Shuttle n. 1 is in Piazza Cavour; the pick up/drop off point of Shuttle n. 2 is just in front of the Grand Hotel Salerno.

The departure time of the shuttles is 08:00 am.

Effectively, Shuttle n. 1 will serve people staying in "Convento S. Michele" and "Ave Gratia Plena"; shuttle n. 2 will serve people staying in "Granh Hotel Salerno" and "Hotel Plaza".


How to get to Salerno

From Rome Airport (FCO)
Take the train to "Roma Termini" (main station) and then take a corresponding train to Salerno. The whole trip takes 3 hours approximately. Tickets can be purchased at the airport train station (click here for the timetable). Remember to stamp the ticket at the yellow machines before getting on the train.


From Naples Airport (NAP)
a) In front of the arrivals, take the direct bus to Salerno University (40 min) or Salerno downtown (1 hr). Tickets available on-board (click here for the timetable).
b) In front of the arrivals, take the "Alibus" to Naples train station (runs every 20 minutes). Then take a train to Salerno (click here for the timetable). Tickets can be purchased at the airport (ask at the arrival information desk). Remember to stamp the ticket at the yellow machines before getting on the train. The whole trip takes 1h30 approximately.


From Salerno Airport (QSR)
Salerno has now a small airport that is starting to operate daily flights from Milano (MXP) and Rome (FCO). A bus connection with the city will soon be established. At present, you should take a taxi to Salerno downtown (20-30 min). The taxi fare from the airport to the city center is 30 Euro.
