Aim

The aim of the meeting SUPERGATE2024 is to bring together members of the SUPERGATE consortium along with leading scientists working in the fields of superconductivity, to discuss their recent findings at the forefront of research done in the areas of superconducting materials and devices, with particular focus on mechanisms and applications related to gate-controlled superconductivity. We aim to discuss the recent and most advanced developments in the field of gate controlled supercurrent, and in general about gate and electrically induced emergent phenomena in superconductors including materials solutions and novel devices. Through a better understanding of the mechanisms, driven superconducting phases and emergent transport properties, one can envision achieving a high degree of control over gate controlled elements for superconducting electronics.
Furthermore, the advancement in materials design strategies can contribute in tackling present experimental and technological challenges with the aim of providing a perspective on the ways-to-go towards new concepts, effects, materials and applications.

Topics

  • Gate controlled superconductivity
  • Superconducting electronics
  • Quantum materials
  • Magneto-electric effects in superconductors
