This event is organized In the framework of the PON Project "NAFASSY" (NAtional FAcility for Superconducting SYstems) by the Physics Department of the University of Salerno in collaboration with the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA), the National Research Council (CNR), and the Center for New Technologies (CRdC).
To develop the potential of superconducting materials within the field of energy, the University of Salerno has seized the opportunity offered by the PON “Ricerca e competitività” 2007-2013 of the Italian Ministry of University and Research to realize an infrastructure for measuring power devices and superconducting materials in high magnetic fields and at low temperatures. This strategic facility, called “Nafassy” and presented by the University of Salerno together with ENEA, the “Istituto Nazionale Fisica Nucleare” and the “Centro di Competenza Nuove Tecnologie per le Attività Produttive”, has been recently funded.
